A WORD FROM THE PASTOR
Dear Pilgrim Journey Family,
First and foremost, I want to say that I am proud to be your Pastor; it is a joy and a privilege to lead Pilgrim Journey! Let me start by saying 2009 was a tremendous year. We have worked hard to be the church that God would have us to be, the church that God blesses! We have been diligent and believe God is pleased with us as a church family. Last year, we were able to feed the homeless close to 1,000 dinners and we also passed out over 500 blankets! God also blessed our enrollment to swell; our 8:00 am service has been such a blessed addition, and we still pack the house at 11:15. God has been so good to us; we baptized over 70 souls last year! What a blessing! Now understand, we have not arrived yet, but we're on our way! And let me say this, we are striving to grow spiritually and this year our focus is going to be on "commitment"--Committed to being on time, committed to working in the church to further God's agenda, committed in our tithes and offerings, committed to love and care for each other as a church family. Let's try to make 2010 the best year ever! Let's commit to do the best we can; let's commit to do our part. Let's commit to love, not hate! Let's commit to build up, not tear down! Let's commit to God's agenda, not our own!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Robert Simpson
