Audio/Visual Ministry
Mission statement:
To communicate the message of Jesus Christ and support the Pastor's vision to reach the congregation, local community and beyond by ensuring the quality and representation of the ministry.
Ministry activities:
1. Operate and maintain audio/video equipment and perform various other functions.
2. Develop and produce audio and video resources of weekly sermons and worship services, weddings, funerals and other church functions
3. Prepare sermons videos and DVDs for sale
4. Photograph church events

College and Career Ministry
Mission statement:
To equip college-minded and career-minded church members between the ages of 18-24 years old with the Word of God in order to train, empower and prepare them for life. To bring in young adults on college campuses and in the workplace who need a church home that will facilitate their individual growth in Christ.
To provide an opportunity for fellowship, encouragement, and ministry training, for those who want to make a commitment to the ministry.
Ministry activities:
1. Conduct weekly Bible studies 2. Provide training in the areas of devotion, Word study, topic study, character study, and book study
3. Provide life skills training in the areas of time management, relationships, and financial planning 4. Pray with and for young adults
5. Attend fellowship events

Girl Scouts Ministry
Mission statement:
To build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. The Girl Scout program can change the way girls see the world and their place in it.
Ministry Activities:
Girl Scouts engage in various activities required to earn badges at different levels of girl scouting. These activities include, but are not limited to service projects, crafts, cooking, career fairs and workshops, college tours, scrap booking, creative writing, science exploration, math exploration, health activities, engineering exploration, geology exploration, camping, sleepovers, hiking, backpacking, archery, horse back riding, ice skating, roller skating, sports activities, tea parties and field trips. The girls also have the opportunity to serve on different planning boards within the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. And, they also have the opportunity to earn a religious award as well as a gold, bronze, and silver award by planning and completing a community service project.
The Girl Scouts meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 11:15am - 1:15pm at the church. However, meeting day, time and place may vary depending on outings and activities.

Health and Wellness Ministry
Mission statement:
To serve the church family and the community on a humanitarian basis by assisting the stricken and the helpless and to give urgently necessary first aid and family health care.
Ministry Activities:
1. Provide preventative health education information at the annual church Health
Fair.
2. Help Christians to understand the relationship between spiritual and physical well being.
3. Support health care professionals in their Christian vocation by providing resources and offering support.
4. Develop health and healing resources, suggestions, and policies for publication in the church monthly newsletter.

Hospitality Ministry
Mission statement:
To help create an atmosphere where every person who enters our church will feel a part of the family of faith.
Ministry activities:
1. Greet worshippers with a spirited and heart-felt welcome to our church home.
2. Send out get-well cards, sympathy cards, and/or flowers to members and their families during time of illness and/or bereavement. Offer physical, emotional, and spiritual solace to members and their families.
3. Coordinate kitchen activities including preparation of meals, set-up and clean-up of activities held in the church Fellowship Hall.
4. Decorate the church for special occasions and holidays.
5. Plan and implement the church Annual Christmas Social.
The Hospitality Ministry meets on the 2nd Sunday after the 11:15 am church service.

Ladies In Fellowship Together (LIFT) Ministry
Mission statement:
To help each female worshipper build a close, intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, grow to maturity in her faith and reproduce that relationship in the lives of others. To equip women to learn, live, lead, love, and look for those in need according to God's Word by offering opportunities for women to grow spiritually; to serve faithfully; to strengthen their love for Christ, the church and one another; to bond in sisterhood; and to celebrate the joys and challenges of spiritual growth and Christian development.
Ministry activities:
1. Women's retreat
2. Women's conference
3. Collection and dissemination of blankets for homeless people
4. School shopping for needy children
5. Thanksgiving dinner for Fort Bend County Women's Center
6. Raising money for student scholarships
7. Monthly meetings to study the Bible and engage members in group and individual activities that translate the Word into practical everyday application.
LIFT meets every first Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.

Marketing and Public Relations Ministry
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to conduct and manage the processes and activities associated with the promotion of church activities in efforts to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The team accomplishes the mission by centrally providing marketing and public relations services for church administrators, ministries, auxiliaries, and members in order to promote and communicate the value added by our church to the community, society, and people as a whole. Additionally, the team conducts and manages the processes and activities associated with communication between the church, the press and the public.
The expected tangible outcomes of the team's efforts are identifying potential members, adding to the body of Christ and keeping the members excited and informed of the church's many activities designed to enable growth in the Lord while enjoying the spiritual journey.
Responsibilities:
The development, updating and maintenance of monthly newsletters, flyers, annual magazines, newspaper articles, website, scrolling announcements for church monitors, handbills, visitor welcome and information cards, membership directory and the photographing of church activities.
Prospective Applicants for Membership on the Team should have two or more of the following skill sets:
1) Abilities in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Publisher, Excel) for the development of promotional documents
2) Excellent Verbal Communication Skills
3) Photography skills
4) Excellent Writing and Editorial Skills
5) Web development and design
6) Brand, campaign, logo etc. design and/or development
7) Excellent customer service skills
8) Excellent planning and organizational skills

Membership/Fundraiser Ministry
Mission Statement:
To recruit, retain and revive the church membership to increase the number of believers who will work to serve the Lord. To raise money for the benefit of the church's efforts to grow and expand its work to bring others to Christ.
Ministry Activities:
1.Fundraiser subcommittee will provide opportunities for members of the church and the community to participate in the financial growth of the church.
2.Seniors, singles and super-singles subcommittees will provide opportunities for the senior members and single members of the church to meet and fellowship.
3.Care callers subcommittee will contact church members to ascertain if members are in need of services that can be provided by the church.
4.Church directory subcommittee will publish an annual document that contains church business and contact information and church member information. The directory will also provide an opportunity for church and community members to participate in the publication of this directory.
5.Baptismal counseling subcommittee will counsel baptism candidates on the importance, reason, meaning and method of baptism; educate them on the purpose of baptism in the life of a Christian; and use scripture to ensure the candidate understands the difference between baptism and salvation.
This committee meets on the first Monday of the month from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm at the church and other times as needed. Members must be readily accessible by email and/or telephone.

Mother's Union Ministry
Mission statement:
To bring together mothers in the church and community to discuss the problems and methods of rearing children, and to help make the home, community and church life better. Its underlying purpose is to make the home life Christian, so that each child is given an opportunity, from the early days of his/her young life, to learn to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. While it is primarily for mothers of the young, any woman who is interested in the welfare of the youth and the home may become a member.
Ministry activities:
1.Visit and aid the sick and needy mothers. Visit hospitals, carry flowers and give helpful articles whenever needed.
2.Encourage Bible study and other literature suitable for the family.
3.Encourage the mothers to send their children to Sunday School.
4.Have meetings to encourage better child rearing and to maintain better kept homes.
Mother's Union ministry meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 6:00 pm at the church.

Music Ministry
Mission statement:
To praise the Lord and edify, uplift and encourage church members, guests, and visitors through music. To encourage and evoke the Holy Spirit by maintaining a thankful and praise-filled approach to worship and serving the Lord. To share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and lead the congregation in worship and praise.
Ministry activities:
1. Provide music selections at all church services and special occasions on request
2. Provide musical direction for choirs, praise and worship singers, musicians, and music directors.
3. Provide musical accompaniment for visiting musical groups.
4. Accompany the Pastor when visiting other venues.

Pastor's Aide Ministry
Mission statement:
The Pastor's Aide Ministry demonstrates spiritual leadership by serving the Pastor and congregation; and, by supporting the pastoral vision through evangelism, stewardship and discipleship.
Ministry activities:
1. Sick and shut-in visitations
2. Outreach to include feeding homeless men and women

Prayer Ministry
Mission statement:
To train, equip, and prepare prayer warriors for the service of the Lord. This cadre of men and women will be able to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support to church members when requested by the church leadership and/or when circumstances warrant such. Ministry members learn to be knowledgeable about biblical principles for Christian living and to be skilled enough in those principles and in prayer to manage their own affairs. Members are able to assist, guide, and encourage others through the trials and tribulations of life.
Ministry activities:
1.Meet every Tuesday night from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church.
2.Read and study Grace Unknown by R.C. Sproul.
3.Pray for our church, community and answer prayer requests.
4.Learn to enhance personal prayer skills.
5.Visit and encourage the sick and shut-in with fellowship and prayer and serve the sacrament of communion upon request.
6.Share a quarterly fellowship meal at the home of a ministry member.

Parking Lot Ministry
Mission statement:
To create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment to enhance the well-being of the pastor, members, visitors and children while on church property during church activities.
Ministry activities:

This ministry meets the first Saturday of every month immediately following the Strong Men for Christ Ministry.

Strong Men For Christ Ministry
Mission statement:
To increase the level of spirituality in the men of the church; to develop, educate, equip, and encourage men morally and spiritually to be the head of the house; to follow the teachings of our Lord and Savior and to be a vehicle in spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ and to seek God's will daily; to help men establish Christ-centered lives that show in all their relationships; to establish small groups designed to provide a responsible support network while holding each man accountable to and for each other; to support one another; to teach personal evangelism, commitment to discipleship, the role of men in society; and to support other ministries at Pilgrim Journey.

Sunday School Ministry
Mission statement:
To win the lost to Christ; to teach the word of God; to develop Christian character by instruction and Bible doctrine; to enlist believers into Christian service; to encourage church membership and attendance; and to teach duties and privileges of church membership.
Ministry activities:
1.Encourage adults, in an age-appropriate manner, to develop a full and rich personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2.Explore biblical themes, characters, and life issues to deepen spiritual formation.
3.Relate current events to relevant Scripture passages to help students see the work of Christ in the lives of believers and in the world community.
4.Encourage group dialogue on how the verses covered each week apply to everyday life.
5.Engage students with thought-provoking, stimulating discussions on the messages contained in the biblical texts covered each week.
6.Conduct Vacation Bible School
Each Sunday School worker should be a growing Christian, a loyal church member in good standing with the church, a personal soul winner, and a dependable person.
Sunday School starts every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
New Member Discipleship classes for all new members meet on the 1st Sunday of each month or T.B.A.

Ushers Ministry
Mission statement:
To serve as the church doorkeepers to ensure that worshippers feel welcome. To serve the Lord Jesus, through the services rendered to worshipers, members, visitors, believers and non-believers who enter our building. To create an atmosphere of worship by assuring order and a spirit of reverence.
Ministry activities:
1. Maintain order and decency in all church services.
2. Maintain alertness to the needs of everyone including the Pastor, Associate Pastors, Deacons, Elderly, and those experiencing medical emergencies, etc.
3. Provide direction and instruction for church attendees.
4. Attend conferences and participate as committee members and/or officers in district, state, and national associations to grow spiritually and remain proficient.
